Lebanese government offers Lebanese expats 680 hotel rooms

The decision to bring back Lebanese expats to their hometown was approved last week amid the coronavirus outbreak that has been exceedingly spreading worldwide. Lebanese Expats shall start returning as of April 5, 2020. However, the Lebanese government has been taking all proper measures to ensure that their return process does not place the country under a bigger obstacle. For that reason, it was decided that 680 hotel rooms will be provided for all returned passengers to quarantine in. All hotel rooms will be available until the PCR examination for COVID-19 is out. Once the passengers have been tested negative, they will be allowed to return to their home where they are also advised to quarantine for 14 days.

In addition to the quarantine process, the Lebanese Minister of Public Health stated that the evacuation flights will be divided into four categories in which each will encompass a different colored bracelet in order to distinguish the passenger’s seat as well as condition.
